UK Status Resident. A local, but sometimes abundant species found in Britain as far north as central Scotland where it is very local. Montgomeryshire Status Discovered in the far west of the county at the Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve in 2014. Wingspan : M & F 9-12mm. Confusion species Pammene spiniana. |
Flight time & Voltinity
(Univoltine)  Habitat Woodlands, fens, hedgerows and marshes. Foodplant Willows. Lifestage data Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva feeds in 'spun up' shoots and young leaves. Pupates under loose bark or rotten wood. |
